Dr. Bhargav Vyas is the Assistant Superintendent for Compliance & Information Systems in the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District. A frequent presenter at both local and state-wide professional development events, Bhargav brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share with participants. He is a distinguished leader in educational technology and information systems, currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Compliance and Information Systems at Monroe-Woodbury Central School District. With over 25 years of experience, he excels in fostering secure, innovative, and future-ready IT environments, collaborating closely with students, educators and administrators to integrate cutting-edge technology into teaching and learning. Previously, as Director of Technology for Orange-Ulster BOCES, he managed network infrastructure across 25 school districts. Holding a doctorate in educational leadership along with multiple master’s degrees and an engineering background, Bhargav is a thought leader in cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and district leadership. His expertise is widely recognized through speaking engagements, including a TEDx talk on ransomware and leadership, Red Team Training at NYSCATE, and panel discussions on cybersecurity trends in education. He has contributed to publications such as Education Next and Ed Week, offering insights on ransomware prevention and best practices.
